Showcasing their incredible aviation ambitions, Crowd have built a new website for the Dubai Airports Masterplan which is designed to highlight their proud history, huge current growth and their future goals.
Over the past 12 years, passenger numbers have more than quadrupled from 18.1 million in 2003 to 78 million in 2015! This is why Dubai Airports has redesigned its long-term strategy - to meet anticipated demand while elevating service levels and the passenger experience with a three-pronged approach. This includes the expansion of DWC passenger terminal building, DXB Plus and DWC Phase 2.
Construction is currently underway to expand Dubai World Central’s existing passenger terminal from the current capacity of 5 million passengers a year to 26 million by 2018.
Dubai Airports is also joining forces with its key stakeholders to design product innovation and operational improvements that will deliver on the sector’s ambition and ensure ongoing contributions to Dubai’s economy. Its primary aim is to provide capacity for 118 million passengers by 2023 without adding any additional infrastructure.
DWC Phase 2 addresses the requirement for timely and flexible capacity expansion to accommodate the high growth rates and passenger cargo traffic volumes projected in the decades ahead. The design ensures a proper balance between scale and intimacy.
Crowd have designed the website so that it presents the amazing architecture of what will be the world’s busiest airport, in a very visual way.
Crowd’s MD Jamie Sergeant said: “It’s been fantastic working alongside a great team at Dubai Airports and we’re proud to continue delivering a digital strategy to a globally renowned brand.”
Lorne Riley, head of communications, said: “It’s been another great project delivered on time and on budget by our digital partners, Crowd.”
The Dubai Airports Masterplan ushers in a new era in Dubai’s proud aviation history, with customer experience at the forefront, and Crowd are very excited about what the future holds for them.
