Hitting Bournemouth beach this summer? Keep an eye out for the Bournemouth Social Reporter – brought to you by Crowd!

In addition to the exciting projects we are managing for Bournemouth Tourism this year, we are delighted to launch a seafront campaign throughout July and August to help promote Bournemouth as an exciting holiday destination.

Wearing a bright yellow flag on their back so they can’t be missed, our ‘Bournemouth Social Reporter’ will be asking the public why they #lovebournemouth. As Crowd’s HQ town, we can think of plenty of reasons!

Photos of eager beach-goers will be uploaded onto Facebook every week where they’ll be able to tag themselves and share the pictures with their friends. This engagement will extend the reach of Bournemouth’s posts and promote the town as a popular UK getaway.

Crowd have also built a new hub page on the Bournemouth Tourism website to display the top 20 images that use the hashtag #lovebournemouth and a winner will be selected at the end of each month.

Megan Brim, who is part of Crowd’s Social Media team and has been helping to run the campaign said: “This has been an extremely fun campaign to put together and I can’t wait to see the results we get.”

Among various seafront shenanigans taking place this summer, holidaymakers and locals can also head to Boscombe Pier to play a round of Mini Golf … with an innovative difference.

Once you hit the last hole on the course, your golf balls are dropped from the pier and into the sea, where they dissolve to release food for fish!

Crowd have created a 3D stand for your photograph and selfie needs for this creative take on the game, perfect for sharing across social media. Just don’t forget the hashtag - #lovebournemouth!
