Crowd have worked with Digital Horizons on a number of exciting projects, to help inspire the next generation of digital talent in Dorset!

Digital Horizons is a non-profit initiative designed to help encourage the next generation of young talent into the booming digital, tech and creative industries, located in Dorset.

Digital Horizons is an initiative of Silicon South and in partnership with JP Morgan, appointed Crowd to design their new logo and branding. Our goal was to create a vibrant visual that stuck in people’s minds and appealed to the youth market.  A notoriously difficult market to reach.

“I considered what would best represent the words ‘digital’, ‘futuristic’ and ‘youth’, so decided a robot would be perfect” says Crowd designer, Julia.

“Combined with an avant-garde font, the Digital Horizons logo was born!”

In addition to the design work Crowd managed, some of our staff had the opportunity to feature in a video for Digital Horizons, produced by a group of students at Bournemouth University.

“I gave a run down of my day-to-day activities and involvement at Crowd,” says Megan, our Social Media Executive.

“Digital Horizons is such a great idea, as before I worked at Crowd, I had no idea that such a job existed. It is great to get students thinking about their future early, especially since Digital is our future and is something that everyone uses on a day-to-day basis”.

As well as her involvement in the video, Megan attended two Digital Horizons events at Bourne Academy and the Bishop of Winchester in Dorset. Representing Crowd, she spoke to students about working in the digital and creative industry.

“The students were extremely enthusiastic and showed great interest in future careers.” says Megan.

Crowd are very proud to work alongside Digital Horizons and we look forward to supporting this inspiring organisation even further in the future!
